Latest Cigarette and Tobacco Prices....Dec 2010

The price of cigarettes and tobacco has just risen sharply in Spain, here is a copy of the price list which I got from the tobacconist today. So far the biggest rise is with Golden Virginia which has gone up almost €20 for a pack of 10. Some prices have not yet changed but I was told others will rise shortly, so I'll keep you informed whenever this happens.

Lloret de Mar - Car Hire, Car Rental

 If you are spending any length of time in Lloret de Mar it may be worth your while to hire a car if you want to make the most of your time here. There are several companies to choose from all centrally located, or why not pick up your car at the airport saving you quite a lot of money on transfer fees to your hotel. Some of the largest car rental companies have offices right here in Lloret...click on the following links for more information from their web sites.

In Fenals we are very lucky to have one of the best tourist attractions in Lloret de Mar on our door step. For only about €4 you can visit the immaculate gardens of Santa Clotilde and take in the views of the fantastic coast line. Take a look at the film show....

Stuff for the kids....

If your planning your families annual holiday in Lloret de Mar next summer, here is a list of the best days out for the kids. The top attractions are Waterworld, Marineland, and Go-karts which all run a very handy complimentary bus from Lloret de Mar bus station.

Set in the woodland just 5 minutes out of Lloret de Mar is the ever popular Waterworld. They are open for the new summer season 16-5-2011 until 18-9-2011. There's lots more to this place than just a water park for the kids, the adults can come and have a go on the bungee jump and also the extreme mountain ride over 260 mts long...if you dare! You will also find mini golf, snack bars, restaurant, tavern and picnic areas.  Lockers are available to rent in which you can keep your personal stuff.

Again only 5 minutes from town out on the road towards Girona is the thrilling Go-Karting track. Great fun for all the family, you can take the free bus from the Lloret de Mar bus station

Marineland, is a fun day out for everyone. Here you can watch shows put on by the dolphins, sea lions and parrots. Other birds and animals such as penguins, otters and flamingos are also on show in the park. In the  water park area there are lots of water chutes and slides to keep everyone amused for the day. There is a restaurant and several snack bars and cafes, or if you prefer to  bring your own packed lunch there is a large picnic area.

 Situated just on the main road near to the Don Juan hotel is the bowling alley and crazy golf course. An entertaining day for all, and only a short walk from anywhere in Lloret. There is an great cafe/restaurant and a fully stocked bar downstairs in the bowling alley, so this is also a great night out for the adults....and its open till 3am!

Magic park in Llorets busy nightclub area is the largest indoor amusement centre on the Costa Brava with 3 floors of great family entertainment. Slot machines, bumping cars, video game machines, remote controlled trucks, pool tables, driving simulators, table top football and mini casino....the list is endless!



Gnomo Park is an adventure playground just on the
outskirts of Lloret de Mar on the way to Blanes. If your staying in the Fenals area of Lloret then its not too far to walk, but if your hotel is in Lloret then you can always catch the Blanes bus at the bus station and this will drop you right outside of the park. Here at Gnomo Park are indoor and outdoor activity areas. mini golf, remote controlled boats, trampolines, a maze, mini karts, cafe, restaurant and picnic area.

Lloret de Mar - Girona Bus Timetable

For those arriving at Girona airport and staying at any of the nearby resorts this is the latest timetable for the Sarfa bus company.  and at present the cost into Lloret de Mar is €8. This is by far the cheapest way to get to your resort as the taxis are now charging around the €50 mark...not too bad if you are travelling with 3 to 4 friends but quite expensive if you are travelling alone.
